[Welcome, all players, to the instance <Bloody Love>.]
[Hengming University is a prestigious institution. Those who can enter Hengming University are a group of exceptional talents, and Ning Mufeng is one of the best among them.]
[Ning Mufeng, the recognized ‘Mr. Handsome’ of Hengming University, excels in both looks and academics, making him the object of admiration for most of the students.]
[Described as a jade-like gentleman, he is truly peerless. Many students are willing to do anything just to see him smile.]
[However, it all changed from a certain day. Mysterious deaths kept occurring around him, and no traces of foul play could be found. The only commonality among these deaths was their connection to Ning Mufeng. Even the police were helpless, attributing it all to accidents.]
[Instance Mission: Survive for ten days or find the murderer.]
[Friendly Reminder: Each player has only one identification opportunity. Once used and it turned out to be wrong, something unpleasant will happen.]
In this scenario, Ruan Qing played the role of an NPC who was jealous of Ning Mufeng, the campus heartthrob. This NPC was named Wang Qing and was also in the same department, studying physics.
Wang Qing had a gloomy and reclusive personality, both in the class and within the entire department. He virtually went unnoticed and had no significant presence.
Even though he and Ning Mufeng were in the same physics department, they had no social interactions. They sat far apart in the same class, and they had never spoken a word to each other, not even a casual greeting.
Yet, deep down, Wang Qing was consumed by jealousy toward Ning Mufeng. He’s on the brink of madness due to this jealousy.
He envied how clean, and pure Ning Mufeng was, untouched by any dirt. He envied how people loved and cared for Ning Mufeng, even when he did nothing.
Wang Qing was jealous of everything about Ning Mufeng, to the point where he wished Ning Mufeng would disappear from this world entirely.
However, the original host’s jealousy towards Ning Mufeng wasn’t solely due to personal reasons. It was tied to the host’s own life circumstances.
Ning Mufeng was a person from this bustling city, born into a good family with a nurturing environment and a bright future ahead.
Wang Qing, on the other hand, had a father who was a gambling addict and abusive when drunk, and a mother who was perpetually weak and submissive, always yielding to the father’s behavior.
Wang Qing’s family was located in a remote area of the city. His gambling-addicted father had no job and always used the hard-earned money of their original host’s family to gamble.
If he won money, things were fine. He treated his family well and occasionally showed tenderness towards the original host’s family.
However, if he lose money, he returned home completely drunk and violently beat the original host’s family to vent his frustration.
But, even in this situation, the original host’s mother didn’t want to leave the original host’s father, believing that he would change for the better.
Furthermore, due to her weak personality, every time she was beaten, she only cried and apologized to Wang Qing, saying sorry to him.
But the next time, it’s the same, with no change.
With a violent father and a weak mother, Wang Qing had grown up in this kind of environment since he was a child.
Numb, hopeless, unable to see any light.
Fortunately, Wang Qing had always performed well academically. He studied like crazy, wanting to get into college to escape from this despairing family.
Considering his academic performance, there was no problem, but the tuition fees were a big issue.
During the nine years of compulsory education, not much tuition was needed, so Wang Qing didn’t have to worry.
But for high school and college, it’s different.
Wang Qing’s father, and mother wouldn’t pay for him.
High school tuition wasn’t too expensive, so the original host could work part-time while studying, getting only three to four hours of sleep a day.
In the end, fortune favors the determined, and Wang Qing successfully got into a good university, which was now Hengming University.
University tuition was several times higher than high school, and because he’s far from home, he needed a considerable amount of living expenses every month.
Moreover, Hengming University was in a bustling city, where the cost of living was very high, and Wang Qing’s part-time wages seem inadequate.
Plus, Wang Qing didn’t want anyone to know about his difficult past, so he strived to appear like other students, maintaining his fragile and pitiful self-esteem.
With all these challenges, Wang Qing’s life became even more difficult.
Eventually, tempted by reality and money, Wang Qing chose a shortcut to earn money.
Working in a bar.
And it’s the kind of bar that offered special services.
As long as they were chosen by the ‘guests’ and negotiate the price, it’s fine.
Moreover, during the designated hours, Wang Qing, as an ‘employee,’ must also go on stage to dance to attract ‘guests.’
Wang Qing’s appearance was not bad; he almost inherited all of his father’s advantages.
However, due to his gloomy and unsociable personality and long-term malnutrition, he was very thin and weak, so he was not very popular with the ‘guests.’
So, Wang Qing actively went to ‘attract guests’ on normal days.
Ruan Qing’s face went blank.
But all of this didn’t matter. After all, that’s all in the future.
He might not even live to see tomorrow.
No, not even tomorrow. Maybe he would die in a little while.
Because just before Ruan Qing entered the instance, Wang Qing had just grabbed the performance slot of the school’s campus heartthrob, Ning Mufeng.
It’s 8:30 in the evening now, and the school was currently holding the college’s evening event.
The original closing performance was supposed to be played by Ning Mufeng on the piano. Many people were looking forward to this, and there were even many students from other departments who came specifically for Ning Mufeng.
The original host’s also signed up for the main performer of the closing performance, but he lost without any suspense to Ning Mufeng and couldn’t get the performance slot.
Wang Qing felt it was a conspiracy. His performance was clearly much better than Ning Mufeng’s, but he didn’t get the performance slot because nobody liked him.
Plus, the jealousy in his heart made Wang Qing unable to bear it any longer.
When he signed up for the program, he was second. If it weren’t for Ning Mufeng, the performance slot would have been his.
So, before the performance, Wang Qing directly schemed to send Ning Mufeng out to buy things.
He was preparing to replace Ning Mufeng in the closing performance of the evening event.
Now that Ning Mufeng had already left, Ruan Qing was standing backstage at the evening event.
Moreover, the evening event was about to end.
In other words, Ruan Qing was about to go on stage for the performance.
Perhaps in ordinary circumstances, the audience might at most not like it, feel deceived, or even despise Wang Qing’s performance.
But in this instance, snatching Ning Mufeng’s performance slot was equivalent to seeking death.
In fact, there had already been two student deaths at this school.
One was sudden heart disease; he died without any warning while attending a class.
The other was accidentally stepping into the void, falling down the stairs, and coincidentally hitting the corner of a wall, leading to his death.
Both deaths appeared to be accidental, and almost no one suspected foul play, nor did they associate it with Ning Mufeng; they just saw it as pure accidents.
But Ruan Qing knew better; these two individuals both had some connection with Ning Mufeng.
The student who died suddenly in class had recently sat in Ning Mufeng’s exclusive spot at the library.
The student who died from falling down the stairs had, in the past, nearly fallen, but Ning Mufeng had caught him.
This was obviously too much of a coincidence.
When coincidences reach a certain point, they ceased to be coincidences, especially when they bear such a strong resemblance to the information provided in the scenario, all linked to Ning Mufeng.
These two might have been killed by the murderer.
The target of this murderer was evidently two categories of people: those who have had close contact with Ning Mufeng and those who have obstructed him.
The murderer was most likely someone with a secret infatuation for Ning Mufeng, not allowing anyone to get close to him or harm him.
The NPC that Ruan Qing was currently playing happened to have taken Ning Mufeng’s role in the performance.
Would the person who secretly love Ning Mufeng not come to see his performance?
No, it’s impossible. The murderer would surely be there, perhaps sitting somewhere in the audience right now.
Once Ruan Qing stepped on stage, the murderer would naturally realize that he had taken Ning Mufeng’s role.
Whether he could walk off the stage alive at that point was a big question.
