Chapter 51.1

Huo Lin didn’t dare to delay and found a bag. As he handed over the bag, he coaxed the little child, saying, “I checked. This ride will go down soon. Ningning, hold on a little longer, we’re about to go down.”

This ride had a short duration, so they only had to wait for a little while before they could go down.

Wagner, sitting on Ningning’s left side, furrowed his brows and muttered, “Something’s not right. When I rode it before, it didn’t stop like this.”

Wagner was familiar with all the rides in the amusement park. Not only was he familiar, but he had also played them all himself.

He turned his head, looked past the chubby little child who was picking up a plastic bag, and directly addressed Huo Lin, “Brother Caesar, I think there’s something wrong with our ride.”

When they stopped, Auben was guarding below, and told others to immediately find the person in charge.

Some of the guards went to find the person in charge, while others directly looked for the malfunction in the ride.

The chubby little child held onto the bag, looking at Huo Lin in confusion, “Can’t we go down?”

Under Auben’s leadership, it didn’t take long for their ride to start moving again. After a few more minutes, all three children safely reached the ground.

The chubby little child had his seatbelt undone by his older brother and eagerly ran to the front.

He squatted by the side of the garden, holding a small bag, and finally vomited.

There were quite a few children like him, and Wagner was taken aback. He didn’t expect Ningning to vomit.

He took a bottle of water and bent down, handing it over. “Ningning, here you go.”

After squatting on the ground for a while, the little child stopped vomiting.

Huo Lin picked him up and didn’t rush to continue playing with him. Instead, he took him to find a seat to rest for a while. “Feeling better now? Do you still feel like vomiting?”

The little child buried his head in his brother’s arms, feeling very wronged.

There was no expression on Huo Lin’s face, but he became more cautious.

The food in the restaurant tasted good. The little child, who knew nothing, ate his food attentively. Since there were no bibs available, he ate very carefully.

“Ningning, are you still feeling dizzy?”

“No, not dizzy.”

The little child took a bite of the chicken leg and asked Wagner, “Where is the rolling beast?”

He didn’t want to play in the amusement park anymore; he wanted to go to the zoo and see the furry rolling beast. The rolling beast in the pictures on the internet looked especially cute!

Wagner looked outside and said, “Let’s go after we finish eating. The zoo is huge.”

After the meal, it was already past one o’clock.

The zoo was very large.

Before reaching the rolling beast, the little child shook his brother’s hand and weakly said, “Brother, Ningning is tired.”

The little chubby child had been out since morning and hadn’t even taken a nap.

Huo Lin estimated that he indeed couldn’t walk anymore, so he picked him up. After picking him up, Huo Lin asked Wagner, “Wagner, are you tired?”

Wagner was also a little tired, but still able to walk.

Since Huo Lin saw that he didn’t want to be carried, he only held the cub in his arms.

They continued walking, and Huo Lin told them about a race: “There’s a race called the beastmen. They have some animal characteristics...”

He smiled and walked over to buy two.

The little chubby child wore the soft and white long ears, while Wagner wore a lion ear accessory that was slightly shorter. The two children looked up at Huo Lin with sparkling eyes.

Huo Lin knew what they were expecting, so he praised each of them in turn, “Ningning, you look very cute, and Wagner, yours looks really cool.”

Huo Lin rarely expresses praise, so both children are very satisfied.

The child with floppy ears finally saw the rolling beast. The rolling beast was small and looked like a baby rolling beast. The baby rolling beast was sitting on a rock, gnawing on its foot.

It’s impossible for a beastman to appear in a zoo.

The chubby child left his address for the chubby mouse.

On the way back.

Both children fell asleep, exhausted from the day’s activities.

Ludwig asked, “Are you sure they weren’t targeting you?”

Ludwig had quite a few enemies, and there had been numerous assassination attempts against them on the White Mist Star. With the Imperial Prince leaving the White Mist Star, it was evident that things would not remain peaceful.

However, from today’s unexpected events, Huo Lin was certain that the other party’s target was Wagner.

Targeting Wagner meant targeting Marshal Twain.

Seeing the other party’s arrogant attitude, it was likely that Marshal Twain’s deterrence power within the Federation was not as strong as before. Otherwise, these people wouldn’t dare to be so arrogant.

“Adult matters shouldn’t involve children.”

Ludwig said casually, “Caesar, keep an eye on them. You’ll all come back together tomorrow night.”

Huo Lin nodded.

Since the little child was sleeping, Ludwig didn’t wake him up. He only looked at the sleeping child through his son’s camera.

The little child was sound asleep, his face flushed from the car’s air conditioning.

Ludwig watched for a few seconds before ending the video call.

They arrived home.

Both children didn’t wake up. Huo Lin called them for dinner, but given the choice between having them eat or letting them sleep, he chose the former.

He had no choice, as he had just tried calling the little child, who simply turned over and presented his backside, clearly not wanting to be disturbed.

The children didn’t eat, but Huo Lin had his own meal on time.

After dinner, Huo Lin finished the homework he had brought along.

Time passed slowly.

At night, both children woke up hungry. Even Wagner rubbed his eyes, on the verge of crying.

Huo Lin skillfully carried them out and said, “Let’s go, time to eat.”

As soon as they reached the corridor, the three of them bumped into Marshal Twain, who had just returned. The marshal was still in his military uniform, his handsome face showing a hint of undisguised fatigue.

“Daddy!”

“Uncle Twain!”
