In the next moment, Mo Ran directly propped himself up on the
edge of the window and leaped off the balcony with ease.
Perhaps fearing a collision with Ruan Qing, Mo Ran landed
about half a meter away from him.
Mo Ran looked at the person before him, grinned, and slowly
approached step by step, his tone filled with uncontrollable excitement.
“Brother Su.”
Ruan Qing didn’t reply; he retreated, pale-faced.
The sky was already dimming, darkness gradually enveloping
the entire First High School. On the fourth-floor balcony, two people stood.
One was approaching a slender and fragile teenager, while the
other was fearfully stepping backward.
The balcony wasn’t large, and Ruan Qing quickly backed up to
its edge; one more step back, and he would fall off.
Falling from the fourth floor’s balcony would leave him
severely injured at best, and Ruan Qing had nowhere else to retreat.
He glanced back at the balcony’s edge and could only
straighten his body, standing at the brink of the balcony, allowing Mo Ran to
approach him.
He lowered his gaze slightly, his long eyelashes trembling
like wings, forming a beautiful arc under his eyes, showing a hint of
helplessness.
Mo Ran observed the teenager who had no strength to resist.
At this moment, the teenager’s face lost its previous
arrogance and haughtiness, no longer looking down on others as before. His
delicate little face turned pale, appearing somewhat pitiful.
He could no longer view Mo Ran from a superior position, and
ignore him.
It was as if someone had suddenly pulled a lofty deity down
from the altar.
He could now indulge in desecrating this divine figure.
He could bully him without restraint, pressing him down
beneath his body, teasing him until he cried, making him whimper helplessly
underneath him.
He could go even further, not allowing him to do anything and
making him cry even harder, unable to push him away, only able to beg him to
spare him.
Mo Ran’s excitement made his grin widen as he reached out
toward the teenager.
Meanwhile, Ruan Qing could only stand stiffly in place.
“Mo Ran.” Just as Mo Ran was about to reach Ruan Qing, a
steady voice came from above, carrying a hint of warning.
Mo Ran looked up and glanced at Xiao Shiyi before clicking
his tongue and averting his gaze. He eventually retracted his hand.
Xiao Shiyi looked at the frightened Ruan Qing and extended
his hand towards him, calmly saying, “Brother Su, let me pull you up.”
Xiao Shiyi’s expression and tone were no different from
before, as if he was still the same follower, unaffected by the changes
happening in First High School.
As if he wouldn’t change his attitude towards Ruan Qing just
because the other had lost his backing.
It was somewhat reassuring.
If one hadn’t overheard his conversation with Mo Ran just a
few minutes ago, they might indeed feel reassured.
But obviously, he was no different from Mo Ran; they were
both lunatics.
After all, just a few minutes ago, they were conspiring to
kill the original owner’s parents and Su Zhiwei, wanting to possess him
together.
If the original owner had heard these words, he would never
trust the two again, no matter how well Xiao Shiyi pretended.
So Ruan Qing lowered his gaze, showing resistance on his
face, as if he hadn’t heard Xiao Shiyi’s words at all.
Mo Ran clicked his tongue again and reached out to directly
grab Ruan Qing’s hand, pulling him from the edge of the balcony, and despite
Ruan Qing’s struggling, he pulled him into his arms.
“Mmm...” Ruan Qing widened his eyes, wanting to struggle and
retrieve his hand, but his strength was weaker than an ordinary person, not to
mention Mo Ran, who might not even be considered fully human. Mo Ran easily
pulled him into his embrace.
His whole body trembled uncontrollably, appearing extremely
fragile.
Mo Ran had initially intended to hold Ruan Qing’s waist and
bring him back to the classroom, but he suddenly stopped.
Because the temperature in the hand he was holding wasn’t
right.
It was icy, very icy.
As if it was a... corpse.
Mo Ran’s heart skipped a beat as he grabbed Ruan Qing’s hand
and reached out to touch his face, then moved his hand to Ruan Qing’s fair,
jade-like neck.
After all, hands could become cold due to external
temperature, but faces and necks usually don’t.
Xiao Shiyi’s face darkened when he saw this, and he warned
again, “Mo Ran.”
However, this time, Mo Ran didn’t listen to Xiao Shiyi. After
touching Ruan Qing’s neck, he continued to reach for Ruan Qing’s chest.
That was where the heart was beating.
The sensation of the heartbeat transmitted through his palm
was very faint.
So faint that it seemed like it could stop at any moment.
Mo Ran’s expression couldn’t be described as anything but
ugly.
At first, Xiao Shiyi thought Mo Ran wanted to disregard their
cooperation and take advantage of the teenager, but then he saw Mo Ran’s
unpleasant expression.
He felt a slight sinking in his heart and a bad premonition
arose. He directly propped himself on the windowsill and jumped down from the
balcony, asking, “What’s wrong?”
Mo Ran didn’t answer Xiao Shiyi’s question. His eyes
darkened, and he held Ruan Qing’s hand tighter, speaking in a gloomy tone,
“What did Su Zhiwei do to you?”
Ruan Qing winced from the pain caused by the grip and
instinctively shrank back, looking extremely uneasy.
“Speak!” Mo Ran showed no mercy, staring at Ruan Qing and
coldly raising his voice, “What did Su Zhiwei do to you!?”
Xiao Shiyi also noticed that Ruan Qing’s temperature was
dropping significantly below normal.
The normal body temperature of a person was around 37 degrees
Celsius, and even in cooler conditions, it shouldn’t drop below 35 degrees
Celsius. However, Ruan Qing’s body temperature was almost below 30 degrees
Celsius.
Even if it was getting cooler in the evening, it shouldn’t be
this low.
This was obviously abnormal.
No wonder the school uniform didn’t feel like it had just
been taken off, yet it carried the scent of orchids.
Xiao Shiyi noticed that the teenager’s body was trembling
slightly, and his face had turned pale, clearly feeling very cold.
Without hesitation, Xiao Shiyi immediately took off his own
clothes and draped them over Ruan Qing.
Mo Ran gave Ruan Qing a cold glance, released his hand, and
with a sullen expression, he also took off his clothes and put them on Ruan
Qing.
Just draping the clothes over him wouldn’t provide much
warmth. Xiao Shiyi took the clothes back, opened them, and softly said to Ruan
Qing, “Brother Su, give me your hand.”
Ruan Qing lowered his eyes but obediently extended his hand.
Just as Xiao Shiyi was about to say something, Mo Ran
forcefully grabbed Ruan Qing’s hand with a gloomy expression and quickly shoved
it into the clothes, effortlessly helping him put on both garments.
He also zipped up the school uniform.
Though they were both high school students, they were tall,
over 185 cm, while Ruan Qing was only 175 cm tall. The clothes were somewhat
large on him, and they looked a bit loose.
After Ruan Qing finished dressing, Mo Ran seemed ready to
question him again, but Xiao Shiyi glanced at the dimming sky and said, “Let’s
talk in the classroom; it will get colder at night.”
Mo Ran didn’t say anything more. Gripping the windowsill with
his hand, he effortlessly leaped up and got into the classroom.
He turned back to Ruan Qing and stretched out his hand,
saying, “Give me your hand.”
Mo Ran looked at the motionless teenager and spoke with a
very gentle tone, “Brother Su, you should know me well. I have always been
ruthless. I hope you won’t give me a reason to be ruthless towards you.”
“After all, your powerful background can’t protect you now.”
Mo Ran’s tone was full of threats.
In fact, the original owner knew very well how ruthless and
vicious Mo Ran could be, but he had always indulged him, even liked this side
of Mo Ran, which was why Mo Ran became his top follower.
Because he never thought that Mo Ran would have a chance to
turn vicious against him, he had been keeping Mo Ran as a mad dog.
But he never expected that one day, this mad dog would
eventually bite its owner.
Ruan Qing hesitated for a moment, then nervously pursed his
lips and finally reached out his hand towards Mo Ran.
Mo Ran immediately grabbed Ruan Qing’s hand tightly, pulling
him up, while Xiao Shiyi stood on the balcony, watching to prevent any
unexpected incidents.
Once Ruan Qing safely entered the classroom, he promptly
propped himself up on the windowsill and agilely jumped in.
The evening breeze was chilly, so Mo Ran closed all the
windows in the classroom. He then stood in front of Ruan Qing and said, “Tell
me, what did Su Zhiwei do to you?”
The shadow cast by Mo Ran enveloped Ruan Qing, emanating an
undeniable sense of pressure.
Ruan Qing hesitated about whether or not to speak,
considering that if he disclosed everything, it might become another obstacle
for him.
His time was running out.
However, in Mo Ran’s eyes, Ruan Qing’s silence seemed like
non-cooperation or even disgust towards him. He sneered and directly pinched
Ruan Qing’s chin, lifting it slightly, locking eyes with Ruan Qing’s
exquisitely beautiful gaze. “Brother Su, I’ve already told you, don’t give me a
reason to be harsh on you.”
“You don’t want to experience my methods firsthand, do you?”
It was a naked threat.
Ruan Qing gazed at the person before him, the clear and
lively pupils filled with disbelief. Tears started to well up in his eyes, and
his eyelashes trembled, displaying a frightened look.
But Mo Ran seemed entirely serious, not joking at all. The
oppressive aura around him showed no sign of easing, as if he would really act
if Ruan Qing didn’t cooperate.
Ruan Qing’s fair face turned pale, and he lowered his gaze to
avoid Mo Ran’s intense stare. His body trembled slightly, and he softly said,
“No, it’s not.”
“Not what?” Mo Ran frowned, not understanding Ruan Qing’s
words.
Anxiously clutching his clothes, Ruan Qing looked pitiful, as
if he might burst into tears at any moment. “It’s not Su Zhiwei.”
“It’s... Song Yu.”
Mo Ran’s expression darkened as he spoke coldly, “What did
Song Yu do to you?”
Ruan Qing bit his lip and spoke softly, “He gave me a
talisman, and I thought it was meant to protect me. But later, I found out it
was used to establish a marriage contract.”
“Has no one ever taught you not to take things from others
without permission?!” Mo Ran’s face was full of gloom, his tone even colder.
“Or is it that you’re used to taking things without asking, and you think it’s
perfectly fine?”
Ruan Qing trembled in fear, instinctively shrinking back, his
eyes turning red, and he spoke incoherently, “I didn’t know, I didn’t know at
that time, I was so scared.”
The teenager was clearly frightened, and Xiao Shiyi pulled Mo
Ran away with a warning. He asked in confusion, “Then why is your body so
cold?”
Ruan Qing pursed his lips, tears swirling in his eyes, “Song
Yu is dead.”
“That contract will... share my life with his.”
As Ruan Qing spoke, he appeared extremely fragile, his voice
quivering and tinged with a sob, “I... I’m going to die too.”
This statement sent a shiver through Xiao Shiyi and Mo Ran’s
hearts, and an overwhelming sense of panic and fear arose in their minds.
Mo Ran’s eyes turned red, and he firmly grasped Ruan Qing’s
hand, “Dream on if you think you can get rid of me.”
“In this lifetime, don’t even think about it.”
Mo Ran’s grip was so forceful that it became somewhat
uncontrollable, leaving Ruan Qing’s hand red from the pressure.
The pain caused Ruan Qing’s body to tremble slightly, his
long eyelashes holding back tears that seemed ready to fall any second. His
watery eyes were filled with fear.
Seeing this, Xiao Shiyi immediately pulled Mo Ran away and
protected Ruan Qing in his embrace. He looked at Mo Ran and spoke coldly, “If
you want to go crazy, then go far away.”
After being pulled away, Mo Ran’s face turned extremely dark,
but he didn’t go crazy again. Instead, he looked at Ruan Qing and asked coldly,
“How do we break the contract?”
“I don’t know,” Ruan Qing shook his head with a fragile
expression. After a pause, he whispered, “I heard that you can summon a deity
and make wishes to them.”
Ruan is a f*cking scammer dude, bro is gonna make them sacrifice their soul to let him live imma guess.
