The man’s words seemed to be just empty threats, intending to scare the person in his arms. However, to his surprise, the person agreed without hesitation.
“What? Anyone is acceptable to you?” The man was even more furious. He was angry at the shamelessness of the person in his arms, but more so at himself.
His rational mind told him that this person was just doing their job, and as long as he paid, everything was permissible. What did it matter to him how degraded this person was? They had only met for less than an hour.
Yet, the man couldn’t control his anger. He even entertained the idea of eliminating everyone who had ever touched this person.
This inexplicable rage burned away over twenty years of the man’s rationality. He sat there, expressionless, exuding a palpable hostility.
Ruan Qing had no idea what the man was thinking. He sat stiffly on the man’s lap, feeling a bit awkward, staring at the man’s thin lips, with tear drops clinging to his eyelashes.
Then he started trembling, his slender white hands slowly unbuttoning his work clothes, revealing his delicate fingers. The man, seeing this, grew angrier and grabbed Ruan Qing’s hand.
“No need to undress,” the man said coldly.
He paused for a moment, his expression dark and unreadable as he looked at the hand he held.
Ruan Qing’s hands were not large but slender and elegant, with a smooth and fair complexion. Although the joints were distinct, they felt unexpectedly soft, making it difficult for the man to let go.
The man tightened his grip slightly, took a deep breath, suppressed his anger, and released Ruan Qing’s hand. “Continue.”
Ruan Qing pursed his pale pink lips, stiffly inclined his body, and approached the man with caution. Perhaps due to the presence of someone else, his body was tense, even trembling slightly.
But he had no choice at this moment.
For his education, for his future, he could only pray for the man in front of him.
Ruan Qing’s hand slowly reached for the man’s head, and he looked down at the man’s thin lips. Lowering his head, it seemed like he wanted to kiss them.
The distance between the two people was extremely close. In the embrace, a faint fragrance of orchids emanated from the person in his arms, causing the man to slightly furrow his brow. His rationality recovered a bit.
He also noticed something he hadn’t paid attention to just now.
He looked at the person in front of him, whose movements were awkward and stiff, as if not accustomed to such actions, raising a hint of suspicion from deep within.
This person seemed... not quite like someone ‘experienced in battles.’
Could it be an act? Or was there someone manipulating things?
The man’s gaze fell on the clean and innocent eyes of the person in front of him, and his brow furrowed even deeper.
Ruan Qing’s delicate face still wore a fragile and pitiful look, with tears uncontrollably streaming down.
It couldn’t help but evoke a sense of pity.
Upon closer inspection, between his fingers, he was holding an almost invisible silver needle.
There were many deadly points on the head, and disguising an attack as a sudden illness was not impossible.
Moreover, as long as the needle was plunged down at the right moment, using a kiss to silence the man, no one would notice...
Just as Ruan Qing was about to kiss him, footsteps and a familiar voice came from the office entrance.
“Mr. Chu, it seems you’ve walked into the wrong place,” the manager said calmly.
When Ruan Qing heard the footsteps, the silver needle between his fingers instantly disappeared. His body trembled slightly, and he lowered his head deeply, tears falling like pearls that had broken their string, scattered and dripping.
It seemed that someone had come, making him feel more humiliated and embarrassed.
After the manager finished speaking, he looked at Ruan Qing, in a tone rarely carrying a hint of command, “Come down.”
After hesitating for a moment upon hearing the manager’s words, Ruan Qing helplessly climbed down from the man’s legs.
The man didn’t stop him, and even when Ruan Qing almost stumbled, he instinctively reached out to support him, but immediately withdrew his hand.
After Ruan Qing came down, the manager looked at the man and smiled gently. “Mr. Chu, since you’ve come to my establishment, please abide by the rules of my establishment.”
“I can’t enter your office?” the man asked indifferently. “I don’t recall such a rule.”
The manager chuckled. “This is an exception.”
The man spoke coldly, “Then what rule did I violate?”
“Mr. Chu might not be aware, but employees in this type of uniform are not allowed to be touched,” the manager explained slowly, glancing at Ruan Qing.
The man did not pay attention to the manager. Instead, he looked to the side at Ruan Qing and asked, “Did I touch you?”
Ruan Qing lowered his head, tears once again filling his beautiful eyes. His fair fingers tightened slightly, and he spoke softly, “No, it’s me... volunteering...”
Seemingly afraid that the manager might misunderstand and become angry, Ruan Qing emphasized again, “Mr. Chu did not... force me. I volunteered...”
As Ruan Qing spoke, his voice trembled, and tears welled up in his eyes, indicating that he had been treated unfairly.
But he stubbornly repeated his words.
The manager’s eyes flashed with a subtle and almost imperceptible coldness, indicating a hint of hostility towards the man.
He had just been informed of something on the fourth floor that required his attention, so he had this employee wait for him in the office, explicitly instructing him not to listen to anyone.
His office was usually a place where few dared to enter; he believed it was the safest place.
In the midst of dealing with matters, he suddenly thought of the employee and decided to check the surveillance. The result was seeing the scene of the other being bullied.
He didn’t dare to think about what might have happened if he hadn’t checked the surveillance.
Maybe the employee would cry, saying that his office had been invaded...
The manager had never felt such anger before, and no one had ever made him so infuriated.
As the man looked at Ruan Qing’s pitiful appearance, a sense of restlessness rose in his heart. Just as he was about to say something, a phone suddenly rang in the office.
It was Mr. Chu’s phone. The man answered the call.
Seemingly urgent, the man walked towards the door while talking on the phone. As he passed Ruan Qing, he glanced at him casually.
However, he didn’t pause for a moment, going straight out of the office.
Ruan Qing widened his eyes in surprise, panicked and eager to catch up.
However, due to his inconvenient movement, he couldn’t catch up, and the man’s figure quickly disappeared from the office door.
Seeing this, tears once again rolled down Ruan Qing’s cheeks, his eyes showing fear and despair.
It seemed he was afraid the man would tell the school, which would ruin his academic prospects.
The manager walked back in front of Ruan Qing, gently wiping away the tears on his face, and smiled faintly, “Don’t worry, the school won’t find out.”
“Trust me.”
The manager’s gentle tone carried a reassuring quality, and his calm demeanor instinctively made people believe in his words.
“Really?” Ruan Qing looked up at the man in front of him, his delicate face filled with vulnerability and helplessness.
It was a look that wanted to believe but was hesitant to do so.
The manager smiled again. “Yes, I promise.”
Ruan Qing lowered his head, avoiding the manager’s hand, and spoke softly, “Manager, I’d like to take a leave today.”
“I want to go back to school in the morning...”
Thanks for the chapter, it's very nice to watch Qing-Qing
