However, those bullets still lingered in the air before reaching Shen Yu’an, eventually losing their momentum and falling to the ground.
Ruan Qing’s face became even paler, his slender figure trembling uncontrollably, and his lips quivering. The gaze he directed at Shen Yu’an seemed as though he was looking at some kind of monster.
He opened his mouth to speak, but seemed to have lost his voice. For a long time, he couldn’t utter a word, feeling an overwhelming chill throughout his body.
Because that was simply something beyond what a human could do.
Clearly, Shen Yu’an wasn’t truly human.
Ruan Qing stared at the man approaching him, his eyes widening. Panic and confusion appeared on his delicate face, and uncontrollably, he began to step backward.
Shen Yu’an continued to advance step by step.
After retreating several steps, Ruan Qing suddenly remembered something. He forcibly stopped his backward movement, stiffly standing in place.
He remembered the size and scope of the circle drawn by Qiao Nuo. If he retreated further, he would step out of the circle Qiao Nuo had drawn.
The gun’s magazine was empty, but Ruan Qing still pointed it at Shen Yu’an, as if it would provide him with some sense of security.
Ruan Qing tried hard to calm himself down. There was the circle drawn by Qiao Nuo on the ground.
Qiao Nuo had said that any non-human presence could never enter this circle.
Shen Yu’an clearly wasn’t human, so he should be unable to enter this circle.
Indeed, Shen Yu’an stopped just outside the range of the circle.
Shen Yu’an halted outside the circle, observing the young man who was only a few steps away from him.
The young man was fair to the point of near transparency, his beautiful eyes widened, expressing fear and dread, with a hint of helplessness on his face.
But he could only purse his lips, standing stiffly in place, giving the illusion of being obedient.
But that’s just an illusion.
This young man dared to report him to the police under his threat.
Even more, for nearly two days, the person didn’t answer his calls or respond to his messages, disappearing completely.
Even though he searched the entire First University, he couldn’t find the person.
A shadow of displeasure crossed Shen Yu’an’s eyes. He stepped directly into the circle and approached the young man once again.
Seeing this, Ruan Qing widened his eyes, the fear deepening in his gaze. He slowly stepped back.
“Backing up further will take you out of the circle,” Shen Yu’an reminded with a smile. “It’s dangerous without the protection of this circle.”
Ruan Qing instinctively lowered his gaze to the ground and indeed found himself at the edge of the circle.
A misty layer covered Ruan Qing’s eyes, his long eyelashes trembling like wings, carrying a hint of helplessness. Despite that, he straightened his body, allowing Shen Yu’an to approach him.
Shen Yu’an entered the circle drawn by Qiao Nuo, confirming his human status.
Shen Yu’an looked at the powerless young man before him.
At this moment, the delicate face of the young man turned pale, appearing somewhat pitiful and scared. It was evident he had been frightened, not just because he was left alone, but also because of him.
However, at the moment, the young man behaved obediently, standing within the circle, unable to go anywhere.
Even if he left this circle, he could only stay in the ghost domain, and Shen Yu’an could immediately find him.
Shen Yu’an stood before Ruan Qing, casting a shadow that enveloped him, emanating an undeniable sense of oppression.
He directly took the gun from Ruan Qing’s hands, tossing it to the ground like throwing away trash. Then, he pinched Ruan Qing’s chin, lifting it slightly. Meeting his incredibly beautiful eyes, Shen Yu’an asked, “Student Xia, how should I punish you?”
“I told you, right, I’ll come find you later.”
Shen Yu’an looked at the young man in front of him, whose eyelashes trembled slightly as he smiled. There was a hint of fear in the other’s clear and lively eyes, tears swirling in his eyes, looking as if he were about to cry from being scared.
Seeing this, Shen Yu’an paused, gently wiping away the tear at the corner of Ruan Qing’s eye. He deliberately spoke in a cold tone, “How about breaking your legs? That way, you won’t be able to run away anymore.”
Although Shen Yu’an’s statement sounded like a question, it felt more like he was informing Ruan Qing.
Moreover, he seemed to not be joking, and the oppressive aura around him didn’t diminish.
With a pale face, Ruan Qing avoided Shen Yu’an’s gaze, his body trembling slightly. Afraid, he shook his head, “No, please...”
“Why not?” Shen Yu’an retorted. “You’re never obedient.”
Ruan Qing bit his lip, tears still swirling in his eyes. “I’m scared of pain.”
“Then, what do you suggest?” Shen Yu’an lightly stroked Ruan Qing’s disheveled hair, speaking in a very intimate tone, as if seeking Ruan Qing’s opinion.
“After all, you didn’t answer my calls or reply to my messages, and I’m angry,” he added.
Ruan Qing bit his lip harder, anxiously clutching his clothes. Then, in a soft voice, he apologized, “I...I’m sorry.”
“Apologize?” Shen Yu’an, upon hearing the words, felt a mix of annoyance and amusement.
So, he endured being targeted by the pen spirit, chased by a lunatic for most of the night, managed to make it through until daylight to find the person responsible, and all he got was an apology?
Ruan Qing, intimidated by Shen Yu’an’s tone, shivered instinctively, his voice carrying a hint of a quivering and teary quality, “Y-yes, I’m sorry...”
Shen Yu’an, with a cold expression, retorted, “If apologies were effective, why would we need the police?”
Ruan Qing bit his lower lip, his damp eyes showing confusion and fear, making him appear extremely fragile.
After Shen Yu’an finished speaking, he didn’t care about the person’s reaction. His hands moved slightly downward, directly supporting the slender waist of the young man with a gentle lift.
Placing him directly onto the nearby table.
And he stood in front of the young man, embracing his waist, preventing him from closing his legs.
Ruan Qing didn’t expect Shen Yu’an to suddenly take action. By the time he realized it, he was already seated on the table, lifted by Shen Yu’an.
Even if he resisted, it probably wouldn’t make a difference.
The current position made Ruan Qing very uncomfortable. If he closed his legs, he would touch Shen Yu’an’s waist, so he could only sit there stiffly.
Just as Shen Yu’an was about to touch the young man’s legs to scare him, his gaze fell on the pocket of the young man’s pants.
Because of the sitting position, the pants were pulled together, and something was partially exposed from the pocket.
It looked a little strange.
Shen Yu’an frowned, reaching out to take it out, wanting to see what it was.
Seeing this, Ruan Qing was startled, forgetting to play his part, subconsciously covering his pocket.
Because in his pocket were three talismans given to him by Qiao Nuo.
For him, these were more valuable than props.
qiao nuo, anybody, save himm!
