Indeed, there was a type of pen on the market that would make the writing vanish after one or two hours. The issue was, Ruan Qing’s pen wasn’t that type.
Moreover, the traces left by the pen, and the creases on the paper were completely different. Ruan Qing was sure that the marks on the paper were indeed from writing with a pen.
He just didn’t understand why the handwriting disappeared, as if it had been erased.
There was no relevant memory in Ruan Qing’s mind.
It was as if he had slept through class, and someone had written something on his draft paper, only to erase it afterward.
The people in the classroom were leaving, and the students for the next class had already started to arrive. Ruan Qing could only suppress his doubts, pack up, and return to the dormitory.
Upon arriving at his dormitory room, Ruan Qing found that someone was already inside.
Thinking it might be a thief, Ruan Qing instinctively grabbed the clothes rack nearby.
Unexpectedly, the man turned around, revealing a familiar face.
It was Qi Shen.
Looking at Ruan Qing, who was frozen at the door of the dormitory room, the man smiled gently, his tone full of intimacy and dependence. “Wife, are you done with classes?”
It took Ruan Qing a while to react. He looked puzzled at the luggage on the floor.
Perhaps understanding Ruan Qing’s confusion, the man smiled again. “I’m moving back to the dormitory to live with you, wife.”
Ruan Qing raised his head in surprise. “This, this isn’t appropriate!”
“Why isn’t it appropriate?” The man seemed puzzled, tilting his head. “Wife and I are already engaged. Marriage is just a matter of time. Isn’t it normal for us to live together?”
The man looked at the bed with his name on it. “Besides, this was originally my dormitory room.”
The words of refusal Ruan Qing had prepared got stuck in his throat.
Because the man was telling the truth; this was indeed his dormitory room.
He had no right to refuse.
But the problem was, he had only known Qi Shen for less than two days. Living together seemed too hasty.
Ruan Qing pursed his lips, not knowing what to say for a moment.
Because Ruan Qing was the only one living in the dormitory room, the other three closets were empty and could be used freely. The man quickly organized his things.
With an additional person now, Ruan Qing’s bed seemed to be in the way. He decided to call someone to help move it.
But the man refused.
With a gentle smile, the man said, “Let’s sleep together, wife. The upper bunk is too small, it’s inconvenient to sleep there.”
Ruan Qing naturally couldn’t agree, but he was afraid of directly refusing and upsetting the man.
He glanced lightly to the side, his eyelashes trembling slightly, and in his beautiful eyes, there was a hint of nervousness and constraint. “...In our hometown, it’s considered unlucky for unmarried couples to share a bed because it’s believed to bring a curse from the gods, and they won’t have a lasting marriage.”
The young man’s hesitant and guilty appearance clearly indicated that he was lying.
However, whether it was to avoid pressuring the person too much or the phrase ‘won’t have a lasting marriage’ that made the man somewhat concerned, he ultimately didn’t insist on the same bed.
Anyway, since the person was already here, sooner or later, they would belong to him.
He could give the young man some more time.
After the man packed up, it was already late, so he suggested going for dinner.
For some reason, despite having had lunch earlier, Ruan Qing was still hungry, so he didn’t reject the man’s proposal.
The man chose the venue this time.
He selected a restaurant perfect for couples’ dates, complete with private rooms, providing a beautiful and intimate atmosphere.
However, as soon as they sat down, an extra person appeared in the private room.
It was the man’s younger brother, Qi Yunshen.
As soon as the young boy appeared, he flashed a big smile at Ruan Qing, “Good afternoon, big brother.”
“Good afternoon,” Ruan Qing politely responded.
Since the moment the young boy appeared, the man’s eyes became a bit darker, and the smile on his face faded a bit.
After all, no one would like to have someone repeatedly disturb their date with a loved one, even if it’s their own brother.
The young boy naturally noticed, but he paid no attention, happily sitting down on the other side of Ruan Qing and striking up a conversation.
Listening to the boy talk about his life, Ruan Qing’s eyes showed a hint of confusion. “Don’t you need to go to school?”
At this age, the young boy should be in elementary school, but from what the boy said, it seemed he wasn’t attending school.
The man beside them smiled faintly and calmly explained, “Forgive him. My brother has a bit of a temper. He got expelled from school after only a few days.”
The young boy glanced lightly at the man, his expression and the emotions in his eyes completely different. He seemed like a child wrongly accused, and he refuted discontentedly, “That’s not true. I learned everything the teacher taught; it’s just that I chose not to go.”
“Is that so?” The man looked at the little boy with a smile that seemed to hold a hidden meaning. “Your teacher said they couldn’t teach you anymore. I thought you might have been expelled.”
The school naturally wouldn’t dare to expel a member of the Qi family, but it was true that his temper was too bad for anyone to handle.
The little boy’s temper could no longer be described as merely bad.
But because the Qi family owed him, even if he was wilful, the Qi family still pampered him.
As long as he didn’t attempt to break the rules set by the Qi family, even his older brother would make way for him.
The little boy glared at the man’s irritating smile, secretly wishing to grab the dish on the table and knock it on his head.
However, the little boy still wore an innocent smile on his face. “Brother, you misunderstood. When the teacher said they couldn’t teach me, it means they aren’t qualified to teach me.”
Although both of them appeared cheerful, a closer look into their eyes revealed a different story.
The man had initially planned for some private time with the young man, but it was clearly not feasible now.
The date ended up turning into a threesome, just like that.
The little boy even followed them back to the dormitory after dinner.
The First University didn’t restrict outsiders from entering, and besides, the little boy was only six or seven years old. Even if the dormitory staff saw him, they didn’t bother.
The pressure emanating from the man became increasingly intense, to the point where even his smile carried a hint of danger.
Yet, the oblivious little boy continued to cling to Ruan Qing.
The time was approaching ten o’clock.
The little boy’s phone rang; it was his father calling.
Upon hearing the ringtone, the man’s mood improved considerably.
Because it meant the little boy had to go home.
The little boy understood this too. A shadow not fitting for his age flashed in his eyes, but in the end, he could only smile and bid farewell to Ruan Qing.
The dormitory room was now left with only two people, making Ruan Qing inexplicably nervous.
Restlessly, he pursed his lips, took his change of clothes, and went straight into the bathroom.
As he emerged, drying his hair, the man was sitting at the table, reading a book.
Ruan Qing casually took a glance, and his gaze froze.
Because the man was facing his side, and the angle of the open book allowed him to see the title on the cover.
...How to Be a Good Husband?
