[Welcome, players, to the dungeon <Life and Death Casino>.]
[This is a world where everything is decided by gambling.]
[Whether it is money, status, or even lives.]
[Everything you desire can be achieved through gambling.]
[Dungeon Task: Acquire 100,000 gold coins within seven days (1000/100000).]
[Friendly Reminder: Small bets are enjoyable, big bets are harmful. Please choose wisely~]
This dungeon was a massive casino, divided into several levels, each with different games.
In this Life and Death Casino, players could obtain everything through gambling, including the gold coins needed for the dungeon task.
In other words, to clear this dungeon, you must win 100,000 points within seven days.
Every casino had its own rules, and the Life and Death Casino was no exception, with rules even stranger than elsewhere.
Rule 1: No violence is allowed in the casino; all disputes must be resolved through gambling.
Rule 2: A daily fee of fifty gold coins is required to stay in the casino. Failure to pay will result in being expelled from the casino.
Rule 3: Gambling with casino staff requires an entrance ticket. There are no restrictions for player-to-player gambling, and players can set their own terms.
Rule 4: If a player lacks gold coins, they can choose to pawn valuable items to the staff. Once pawned, items are non-refundable, so choose wisely.
Rule 5: The value of items is determined by the staff’s standards. Do not make your own judgments.
Rule Six: If any player is caught cheating, they will be immediately declared as losers. If this occurs more than three times, they will be expelled from the casino.
Rule 7: The casino only welcomes gamblers. Players must gamble at least once daily (with either players or staff), or they will be expelled from the casino.
Rule 8: Once a gambling session begins, choosing to quit is considered a loss. Entrance tickets and wagered gold coins are non-refundable.
Rule 9: The only currency in the casino is gold coins. Besides gambling, you can use gold coins to purchase anything from the casino shop.
This rule seemed harmless, and the entire instance didn’t seem dangerous either.
It seemed that only failing to acquire 100,000 points within seven days would result in failure to clear the dungeon.
However, Ruan Qing knew that this was not the case. This time, he became a gambler NPC, a wildly insane gambler.
The original owner, Yan Qing, was someone who loved gambling. After hearing about this casino, he traveled a long distance to get here.
But the problem was that although the original owner was crazy, his luck in this casino was seemingly not good; he lost nine out of ten bets.
Even cheating didn’t help him win, and he was caught by the staff once.
In just three days, he pawned all his valuable belongings.
If he continued pawning, the only thing left to pawn would be his body.
Yes, in this casino, one could pawn their body, and the coins given for it were significantly higher, far exceeding other external items.
For instance, the price for one hand was as high as a thousand coins.
But as the rules of the casino stated, once something was pawned, it could never be retrieved.
Because the staff directly ate the pawned items, including some valuable items and even pawned body parts.
Clearly, the entire casino staff were not humans, but monsters disguised as people.
The staff seemed to feed on the various pawned items from players, with their favorite food being human bodies.
However, the staff could not directly harm humans; they had to either get humans to voluntarily pawn their body parts or gamble using themselves as stakes.
The rules of the casino also constrained the staff.
The original owner had once witnessed someone pawning their arm, which was directly eaten by the staff.
Instead of being scared, the original owner became excited and even eager to try it himself.
Indeed, he was quite mad.
And now Ruan Qing had become the original owner, who was almost penniless.
This was not the worst part. The worst part was that before Ruan Qing entered the game, the original owner had used his last hundred coins as an entry fee to play Russian roulette.
Only a few games required an entry fee without needing chips, and Russian roulette was one of them.
The name sounded harmless, but it was far from a peaceful game.
This game gambled with human lives.
The rules of Russian roulette were simple: all you needed was a revolver and six bullets.
Players could choose how many bullets to gamble with, and each bullet corresponded to a different amount of coins. The more bullets gambled, the more coins could be won.
The growth increased almost exponentially, and consequently, the danger also increased significantly.
Because the bullets chosen by the players were placed into the chamber of the revolver, players could freely rotate the revolver’s cylinder and close it before the rotation stopped.
Then, the player would aim the revolver at their own head and pull the trigger.
If they were still alive, they could successfully take away the corresponding coins.
Using only one bullet would earn a minimum of one thousand coins, two bullets would earn five thousand coins, three bullets would earn ten thousand coins, four bullets would earn twenty thousand coins, and five bullets would earn fifty thousand coins.
And using six bullets could directly earn one hundred thousand coins.
However, no one would gamble with six bullets, because that’s certain death.
Dying also meant losing.
Backing out before firing the gun meant losing and leaving with nothing.
And now, the revolver was in Ruan Qing’s hand. The original owner has already spun the cylinder, just waiting to aim at the head and firing the gun.
Although the original owner was somewhat crazy, he also knew that without life, he could no longer gamble, so he only gambled with one bullet.
A one in six chance of hitting.
If Ruan Qing guessed correctly, he would die as soon as he fired the gun.
After all, as a special NPC, his purpose was to serve as a warning to other players by dying first.
Ruan Qing didn’t have any mentality of relying on luck.
The system had said before that he could only select dungeon instances for him and could not decide who he became in these instances.
Who he would become depended entirely on luck and the intentions of the game.
And his luck had never been very good.
Ruan Qing lowered his gaze to the revolver in his hand. Now, he seemed to have only two choices.
Either fire the gun and take a gamble, or give up firing the gun.
But giving up meant giving up the one hundred gold coin entry fee.
That was the original owner’s last bit of gold. Once abandoned, he couldn’t even afford the fifty gold coins in retention fees and could only pawn valuable items.
But when the original owner attempted to pawn it last time, the staff told him that the only valuable thing he had left was his own body.
In other words, to pawn it, he had to choose a part of his body to pawn.
Ruan Qing’s livestream room opened for the first time, with no fans yet, but someone stumbled upon it accidentally.
Originally, the viewers were just browsing casually, but they didn’t expect it to be a surprise.
[Surprise!!! Are there any good-looking players in the Infinite Horror game? How can someone with this appearance not have a single fan?! Is everyone blind?!]
[Is this a newcomer who just started broadcasting? His looks are really something. How did he end up looking like this? Did he use beauty enhancement items?]
[Didn’t you say he’s a newcomer who just started broadcasting? Where did he get the points to exchange for items?]
[You make a good point, so, he naturally looks like this on his own?!?]
New arc!! Yes. Love it. It's such an interesting concept
