[Congratulations, Player Ning Su, on successfully clearing the instance.]
[Instance teleportation in progress…]
[Calculating Player Ning Su’s performance and rewards in the <Shared Memories> instance…]
[Now announcing player performance and rewards.]
[Player Ning Su performance results:]
[System Rating: B (Gaokao score rating: S [728 points], Instance performance rating: F).]
[Core NPC Rating: None (deceased, unrated).]
[Final Grade: B.]
[Player rewards for this instance are as follows:]
[Points: 698,725]
[Upon inspection, Player Ning Su has privately removed a core item from the instance. All points and items from this instance will now be deducted as compensation.]
[Player rewards for this instance are as follows:]
[Points: 0]
[Congratulations, Player. Please continue your efforts.]
Ning Su: "..."
Ning Su: [I protest. I didn’t privately take any core item out of the instance—it was the Ghost Master, your core NPC, who brought it out himself.]
System 9277: [Protest denied.]
Ning Su: [I protest. The Black Tree Monster is already dead. That broken branch Gui Sheng took out doesn’t count as a core item. Deducting all my points is unfair.]
System 9277: [Protest denied.]
Ning Su wanted to protest further, but then it occurred to him that if the System were human, it might’ve already died of rage by now.
The System had extracted Ling Xiao’s nerves to synthesize that monster, specifically designed to devour and seal away his memories—and Ning Su had destroyed it.
The only reason the System still gave him a B rating was because it wasn’t human. Systems had their own internal rules—otherwise, he’d probably have gotten a negative F.
Ning Su sulked: [Fine, whatever. It’s not like I’m short on points anyway. Some player will probably give me a million points later.]
9277: […]
It shouldn’t have come out in the first place!
One after another, players emerged from the light circle.
As long as a player made it out alive—even if they were hanging on by their last breath—they would recover almost completely after leaving the dungeon world and returning to the base.
Now, the players appearing in the light circle had regained their memories, leaving them dazed for a few seconds.
But as more and more players appeared, that daze turned into excitement.
"Wow, so many players actually made it out of a Level 6 dungeon!"
"There must be at least fifty of them!"
"The previous highest clearance rate for a Level 6 dungeon was only 37%!"
Everyone chattered away, and as their memories fully returned, they all knew exactly who was responsible for this outcome.
Shi Tianzhu, both relieved and delighted, said, "We should all thank Ning Su properly."
The previous record of 37% clearance had been set by Shi Tianzhu herself. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined that in a dungeon where she fell, someone else could step up and lead even better than she could.
One player stepped forward and said, "I still remember what Ning Su said—that if he managed to bring out those of us who didn’t go to the Reflection Hall to find the memory transfer method, we’d each owe him a million points. I’ll pay up right now."
Ning Su chuckled. "Go ahead and send it. Later, I’ll split it with Ning Changfeng, the Gu Witch, and the others."
Ah, a million per person…
If even just five people paid up, it’d definitely be more than what the system deducted.
[System Notification: 1,000,000 points received in personal account—from player Shi Tianzhu.]
[System Notification: 1,000,000 points received in personal account—from player Ling Xiao.]
[System Notification: 1,000,000 points received in personal account—from player Zhou Xiang.]
…
Ning Su: "!"
Was it really appropriate to take money from Shi Tianzhu and Ling Xiao?
But… since they’d already sent it, wouldn’t it be rude to refund them?
The light circle disappeared.
The Gu Witch said, "I didn’t do anything. Keep your points for yourself."
With that, he walked off alone.
The stunned Human Pupa Master quickly ran after him.
The other two players from the Yongming Guild followed as well.
Once the Yongming members had left, Ji Zeming asked, "Should we all review this dungeon together? It felt pretty tough."
Ning Su immediately nodded, glancing at Shi Tianzhu before asking Ning Changfeng, "Are you coming too?"
Ning Changfeng: "...Sure."
Ning Su: "..."
They hadn’t even decided on a location yet—where was this "sure" even supposed to be?
Ji Zeming cheered, "Great! Let’s all head to Yinhua then!"
It was common for Shi Tianzhu to invite players to Yinhua for dungeon reviews after completing a run. Players were usually happy to go since they could get a more complete dungeon map by collaborating with the Yinhua Guild.
However, this was the first time Ning Changfeng had openly agreed to go to Yinhua.
Ning Su and Ling Xiao walked at the back with Ning Changfeng.
"The president actually let you into Yinhua!" Ning Su whispered, eyes gleaming with mischief.
Ning Changfeng’s lips twitched upward before he suppressed the smile, clearing his throat. "What’s the big deal? A whole group is going. It’s nothing special."
Ning Su: "..."
Sure, keep pretending.
Normally, Shi Tianzhu wouldn’t even let Ning Changfeng step foot inside Yinhua—if they met without fighting, it was already a miracle.
Watching Ning Changfeng follow Shi Tianzhu toward Yinhua, many players nearly dropped their jaws in shock.
When people had first learned that Ning Changfeng, Shi Tianzhu, the Gu Witch, Human Pupa Master, and Ning Su were entering the same dungeon, theories had run wild.
Some speculated that since the individual tournament hadn’t settled things, Shi Tianzhu and Ning Changfeng were using the dungeon to compete—a high-stakes battle with tension thick enough to cut.
If that were the case, their relationship should’ve been worse than ever after coming out.
But what they saw before them was completely different from what they’d imagined.
Too curious to resist, one player walked up to Zhou Xiang—who was smirking—and asked, "Did Ning Changfeng and Shi Tianzhu fight in the dungeon?"
Zhou Xiang thought for a moment, then suddenly looked dazed.
After leaving the dungeon world, his memories had fully recovered—including those from when he’d lost his memory inside the dungeon.
Recalling how Ning Changfeng and Shi Tianzhu had interacted in the dungeon, he grew even more bewildered.
Not only had they not fought… it seemed like they’d gotten along well?
Not just in the same class, but even seated together? Eating together, jogging together at night?
He glanced at another player—one who had been in Class 5-3, Shi Tianzhu’s original class, and the one Ning Changfeng had deliberately transferred into.
"So… the two bigshots got along fine?" he asked.
That player looked even more lost. "If by ‘fine,’ you mean Ning Changfeng spent all his time teaching Shi Tianzhu kindergarten and elementary-level knowledge, not letting any other guys near her, answering her every call, running out between classes to buy her drinks and fruit, and holding up a textbook to shade her while she napped… then yeah."
"……"
"And if by ‘fine,’ you mean Shi Tianzhu was wary of every other guy in class, only willing to stay close to Ning Changfeng, only listening to his teachings, and liking to sleep leaning on his shoulder… then also yeah."
"…………"
Ning Su turned to Ning Changfeng with a blank stare—a look that clearly said, "What the hell were you two doing while I wasn’t looking?"
Ning Changfeng: "……It’s not that big a deal."
Ning Su: "……?"
