Her finger then moved to a warehouse in front of them.
The long warehouse had a large ventilation window facing them, with two zombies stuck to the window.
One was very “fresh,” its head twisted backward against the window, with thick black-red blood gushing out from its eye sockets and nostrils.
The other was a female zombie in a red dress, her eyes completely filled with black pupils, with tears dripping out. She was laughing at them with her mouth wide open.
Only after it quieted down did they hear her laughter, which sounded both joyous and sorrowful, making their scalps tingle.
Behind the two zombies was a group of zombies walking back and forth in twisted movements.
These were far more terrifying than the zombies they had seen on the road. They were not just zombies but also eerily ghostly.
“Just saying it won’t prevent deception. It’s better to prove it thoroughly firsthand.”
This seemed to be the experience Xue Wei gained from the last instance.
She said, “In that warehouse, there are over 200 zombies. Entering through this door, walking through this path, and exiting through that door means the zombie faction players officially enter our zombie stronghold.”
“If you can’t get out... Ha, you’ll be torn apart and devoured by those 200 starving zombies, leaving not even a scrap of bone.”
Even zombie faction players couldn’t help but get goosebumps upon seeing the warehouse packed with zombies, and their hearts chilled upon hearing the Human Pupa Master’s words.
“Isn’t that unnecessary? We indeed weren’t attacked by some zombies on the way here, but these zombies look unusual. What if something unexpected happens inside...”
“Yeah, our group of five can prove each other’s credibility.”
As they were discussing, someone in the group suddenly bolted towards the exit.
The Human Pupa Master smiled, her red lips curling up, and suddenly a two-meter-long machete appeared in her hand. As she flipped and jumped, the machete swiftly lengthened, and she cleaved the player in half from the top of his head down to the ground.
The player fell, split in two.
Blood spattered, obscuring a glimpse of the evening glow.
Right at the players’ feet.
Xue Wei smiled and said, “Those who don’t dare to go are just guilty, right?”
No one dared to speak again.
Xue Wei continued, “Oh, I forgot to remind you, perhaps it’s a characteristic of this level, but if you’re bitten to death by a zombie, you won’t immediately exit the instance. You’ll turn into a zombie and live here for a while, probably until the competition ends, when you can all exit the instance together.”
“So, in that warehouse, there might be some people you know waiting to eat you.”
Everyone’s expressions turned grim.
Originally, the Human Pupa Master, who said Ning Su would be the first to go in, walked straight to the player next to the one she just killed and pushed him, “You, get in!”
To prevent the player from doing anything midway, Xue Wei smiled and pinned the male player’s arms behind his back, pushing him towards the zombie warehouse.
As they approached the door and heard the zombies’ moans and laughs more clearly, the male player began to struggle frantically, then started crying and begging for mercy.
The more he struggled and pleaded, the happier Xue Wei laughed. She laughed heartily as she kicked the male player into the zombie warehouse.
All the players present silently stared at the scene.
As soon as the male player was thrown into the warehouse, all the zombies inside became agitated, rushing toward the player in a frenzy, layer upon layer.
They could only see from that window the zombies pouncing fiercely and twisting, fighting for flesh, and the blood splattering on the window.
Amid the excited or angry growls of the zombies, there were interspersed with piercing screams.
This lasted for less than five minutes.
So many zombies and only one player; it couldn’t have taken that much time.
Each zombie took a piece, and there was nothing left.
The atmosphere became terrifyingly silent.
Ning Su turned to look at the dozen or so players. Some were panting heavily, some were trembling, and some were constantly wiping the sweat from their foreheads with their sleeves.
“Ning Su, what are you looking at? You’re next, hurry in!” Xue Wei shouted at Ning Su cheerfully.
Ning Su: “...”
He glanced at the high school student before going in.
The reaction of the zombies on the way here already indicated that ‘she’ was human.
Earlier, Ning Su had managed to temporarily mask ‘her’ aura with dark energy, deceiving those zombies.
However, the zombies in the warehouse were obviously advanced ones, and he wasn’t sure if he could deceive them again.
Ning Su pressed his lips together and walked towards the warehouse.
[Oh my god, I’m so nervous!]
[It was too gory just now. The zombies inside looked so terrifying. Can his skills help him get through this time?]
[That was a combination of zombies and ghosts, a whole warehouse full of them, too creepy.]
[Even zombie faction players would feel scared.]
Ning Su walked calmly and reached out to push open the door.
At this moment, the number of players choosing Ning Su’s perspective reached its peak.
The warehouse looked like a spacious corridor with windows.
The corridor had windows, but they were not open. The mixed smell of blood, decay, and stench, fresh bodies, and rotting corpses hit them directly.
The long walls were densely covered with green corpse beetles, obscuring the wall paint.
The floor was covered in blood and fragments, mixed with other sticky, unidentified liquids.
The entire room of zombies simultaneously turned their heads to stare at Ning Su from different angles, with different eyes.
[The immersion is too strong, my hair is standing on end.]
[Damn, I’m logging off for a while.]
[I didn’t expect it, but it turns out I’m the coward. Little Beauty is so brave!]
Ning Su had already walked into the room of zombies.
He walked slowly forward among the silent zombies, each with a different appearance.
The zombies’ heads and eyes followed him as he moved.
A zombie craned its head to look at Ning Su.
Ning Su’s eyes trembled.
The zombie in front of him wasn’t craning its head; its neck was bent at a 90° angle, with its head resting on its shoulder.
Her vacant eyes stared at Ning Su, and her wide-open mouth still contained bits of human flesh, with fresh human blood seeping between her teeth.
[Oh my god! Isn’t this Chu Yuling from the Yinhua Guild?!]
[The Human Pupa Master wasn’t lying. When you die, you don’t immediately exit the game; you become a zombie until the dungeon ends!]
[Isn’t she Ning Su’s teammate? This is too tragic!]
[Her mouth, she just ate someone, probably the last player who came in.]
[Oh man, after coming out of the game and recalling all this, it would leave such deep psychological scars.]
Ning Su took a deep breath.
He gripped a piece of jade tightly in his hand.
Chu Yuling, of course, he knew her.
~~~
They sat together in the Yinhua Guild meeting room, introducing their skills to each other. Ning Su said one of his skills was devouring, which could absorb a portion of dark energy.
They understood this “dark” part as some kind of dirty stuff.
At that time, a clean and pretty girl at the meeting table said, “Wouldn’t that make you uncomfortable?”
She gave him a piece of jade, saying, “It has the effect of expelling poison and calming the mind. If you absorb those things, just smell it.”
Ning Su once thought that being directly sent to the finals by Shi Tianzhu would lead to some dissatisfaction or targeting from others.
But no.
The reserve players who weren’t selected even gave him their props and weapons to use.
It was one thing for the players not entering the dungeon to give him items, but how could he accept them from someone who was also entering the dungeon?
Shi Tianzhu said, “Take them. Yu Ling is particularly clean and has a lot of these small items.”
Thanks for the update
